JOHN RUNY
Founder & Co-Owner
John graduated from The Citadel in 1964 with a BA and continued his education at the University of Hawaii where he gained a MA in 1966. John proudly served in our United States Army for 23 years before retiring. He has been in the printing business for 35 years, founding Apexgraphix in the year 1994. John loves to see how our work at Apexgraphix helps our clients’ businesses grow. He has guided Apexgrpahix to excel in many areas, but is most proud of establishing one of the first digitally advanced small printers in South Carolina.
JAY RUNY
Co-Owner & Sales Representative
Jay Runy graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Business Administration. He also has continued his education and received a MBA from the University of South Carolina as well as a Master of Strategic Studies from the U.S. Army War College. Jay took after his father, John, in continuing the family business and helps run the company along side him. His favorite thing about his job is his employees and getting to know his customers. Jay has been with the company since 1994 and is recently retired from the National Guard.
HEATHER LASSITER
Operations Manager & Graphic Designer
Working in the print industry for approximately 25 years and at Apexgraphix for 15 of those years, Heather is an asset in all areas. Her expertise is in operations management as she knows the shop inside and out. Heather’s favorite part of her job is working with small business owners.
BROOK BOONE
Graphic Designer & Marketing Coordinator
Since starting as an intern, Brook has become integral to Apexgraphix’s growth. She graduated from Anderson University (SC) with a Bachelors Degree in Graphic Design and a minor in Art History. Brook’s diverse skillset and creative eye has helped Apexgraphix achieve many design accolades. With her ability, we have been able to reach further clients looking to bring their ideas to life.
OUR HISTORY
In Our Founders Words:
“When I retired after 23 years in the Army in 1987, I decided I did not want to work for government or a large business. I wanted to be on my own and make it. I started an Alphagraphics franchise with a partner in Fayetteville, North Carolina. We built it up to a successful business. In 1994 my partner and I split up with him buying me out. I started a new Alphagraphics franchise in Columbia, South Carolina. It got off to an immediate good start and in 2000 opted out of our franchise to become, Apexgraphix. The company has become an established feature of the Columbia business community.” – JOHN RUNY
